Program Description:

This scholarship program is not administered through the International Academic Programs office at UMKC. This application is for advising/review purposes only. Interested students must submit an official application at the Gilman Scholarship website to be considered for the scholarship.

Gilman advising is a special service available to students who attend an UMKC Study Abroad-hosted Gilman Scholarship Workshop.

An advising application is not required to submit a Gilman application to their national site.

This scholarship is for Pell Grant recipients (any major) studying abroad. The award can be up to $5,000. Students who apply for and receive the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad are then eligible to receive a Critical Need Language Award from the Gilman Scholarship Program.
